Bat & Bird Removal

Bats

Did you know that a bat can live 10 years or more and return to the same location each year?  Bats are very beneficial to the environment, but can become problematic when they roost on or inside a building.  Bats are often found in attics, under porches, and other small crevices. If bats are nesting inside an attic or wall, the bat guano can quickly accumulate.  The two main risks with bats are histoplasmosis ( a lung disease from the guano)
and rabies. Bat bites are very small and often people do not realize they have been bitten. The health department recommends testing the bat for rabies if anyone has had direct contact with the bat or if it was flying around while a person is sleeping. The bats in our area are federally protected. We offer several effective solutions to remove bats from your home or business while protecting the species and preserving the aesthetic of the structure.

Woodpeckers, Starlings, and Chimney Swifts

The woodpeckers in our area are federally protected, but can cause extensive damage to the exterior of wood homes. Starlings make holes that are often confused for woodpecker holes. Starlings are considered an invasive species to NC.  Chimney Swifts are often found in chimneys and air shafts. This can cause reduce air flow and be a fire hazard. Contact us to discuss options for deterring and removing woodpeckers, starlings, and chimney swifts.

Goose Management

In North Carolina, we have migratory and residential Canadian
Geese. Residential geese stay in the same location all year long while migratory geese only return to an area for nesting season. Both are federally protected. Geese can be very aggressive during the nesting season often chasing or attacking anything that gets too close.  Canadian Geese goslings grow very quickly and will be full-sized and able to fly in about 3 months. The droppings of geese can also be
unsightly and harmful. A single adult goose can produce up to 1.5lbs of droppings each day. There are many diseases and bacteria associated with goose droppings. We offer goose population control, nest management, and cleaning of areas
effected by their droppings.
